Pickup truck falls of second floor parking lot in Chiang Mai

On the evening of December 15th a pickup truck fell of the second floor parking lot at Central Festival Plaza in Chiang Mai. Police and rescue services were called at around 10-30pm to attend to the driver and one passenger.
When the truck fell from the second floor it tipped over and landed on its roof, hitting one other car parked on the ground floor. An 18 year old man and a woman were found inside the car, the woman was found unconscious with a broken leg, the man suffered trauma to both his head and his body, they were both rushed to hospital.
One witness said they heard a large bang when the pickup allegedly crashed into an iron barrier before plummeting to the lower floor. Police believe the incident may have occurred due to the driver selecting the wrong gear. Further investigations will take place once the couple in the car recover sufficiently.
