Pig farm in Krabi enrages Muslim community

At around 11am today, Thursday 28th May, around 100 residents of a Muslim village in Krabi’s Ao Luek district demonstrated on the site of a new Bt20-million pig farm. The farm being built will cover an area of around 100 rai. The leader of the demonstration said that the residents in villages surrounding the farm are Muslim and would be badly affected by the farm. He also raised concerns that waste water from the farm may pollute local water sources.
