The Prime Minister has admired the rapid investigation into yesterday’s bombing incident at Big C Pattani, and asked the public and journalist not to publish bombing clips for fear that they would affect people’s feelings.

The Pattani provincial police tracked down the bomber with traces from the CCTVs at various locations including a checkpoint in front of the department store.

Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha praised authorities’ resourcefulness and expressed his admiration for their rapid investigation which has progressed quickly, which would eventually lead to the arrest of the culprits behind the incident.

However, the Prime Minister asked the public and journalists not to publish or forward the images and video clips of the explosion through any channels, especially online media, saying they could reiterate the violence and could also affect a great many things, including the investigation, the feelings of the local public, the economy, or confidence towards the southern border provinces.
