Police announce details of two major drug busts

Police in recent months seized a large haul of narcotics, including more than 200 kilograms of crystal meth – or “ice” – and 1,792,000 methamphetamine pills, in two separate drug busts, deputy national police chief General Chalermkiat Srivorakan told a press conference at the Narcotics Suppression Bureau in Bangkok on Tuesday.

In the first case, drug suspect Napat Srihera, 40, and 16 accomplices were arrested in Nakhon Sawan in a November 10, 2018 bust, during which 1,792,000 meth pills, 3kg of ice and 1kg of ketamine were seized.
In the second case, police arrested two men and a woman, all in their 20s, and confiscated 200kg of ice in Lampang on January 8, he said.
