Police arrest Thai wife wanted over brutal murder of Italian husband in northern Thailand | News by Samui TimesOn Monday morning Manager Online shared a photo of Rujira Iam-lamai, 38, in police custody.

Last week police named Ms Rujira and her boyfriend, French national Amoury Rigaud, 34, as prime suspects in the brutal murder of Guiseppe de Stafani, 61, whose charred and dismembered charred remians were found close to his home in Phitchit province.

The arrest of Ms Rujira came just hours after Rigaud was apprhended in jungle in the Tak province.

Rigaud has since told police that he was not involved in the murder of Mr de Stafani, instead blaming Rujira.

Another photo shared by Manager showed Rujira hiding up a tree.

This is a developing news story.
