Police Chief affirms readiness to ensure safety during New Year period

The National Police Chief has affirmed that the police are fully committed to ensuring public safety over the New Year holidays.
Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police Pol Gen Chakthip Chaijinda has said that police officers stand ready to safeguard the lives and property of the people. On New Year’s Eve, the Royal Thai Police will convene a video conference of commanding officers across the country. The meeting will discuss the overall picture of safety measures during the New Year period.
Deputy Prime Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan stressed the importance of safety measures, particularly the use of CCTV cameras and sufficient street lighting.
Meanwhile, Pol Gen Dechnarong Sutticharnbancha, Advisor Level 10 of the Royal Thai Police, was ordered to a helicopter survey of traffic from December 30 – 31.
