The government has scheduled a meeting on the construction of the Royal Crematorium and other ceremonies as part of the Royal Funeral of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej on December 19.

Deputy Prime Minister Gen Thanasak Patimaprakorn, as chairman of the Royal Cremation Organization Committee, has revealed the Fine Arts Department of the Ministry of Culture has scheduled a religious ceremony to activate the Royal Vehicles to be used in the funeral procession of His Majesty the late King for this December 19 at 2:29PM. The department is also to remove tents in the area of the National Museum and relocate them to the National Theater to make way for the vehicles to emerge from the museum.

A meeting of the organization committee ahead of the proceedings, taking place this November 28, is to discuss the lighting of the royal funeral pyre. An initial blueprint of the Royal Crematorium will be reviewed at the meeting and it is expected the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will be able to allow the Fine Arts Department to begin construction of the crematorium no later than January 10, 2017. It is likely to be completed within September of 2017.

The area around Sanam Luang is also to be further adjusted to accommodate the Royal Cremation Ceremony with more tents to be installed to accommodate 30-40,000 members of the public.
