“Pretty Lanlabelle”: Autopsy shows alcohol killed her | Samui Times

Police in Bangkok have said that alcoholic poisoning killed a 25 year old “pretty” who died after serving drinks at a party.

Thitima Naraphanphiphat or Lanlabelle was found dead on the sofa in the lobby of a condominium building in Bang Khun Thian last week.

She had been carried into the building and later to the sofa by a man called “Nam Un”. She appeared unconscious but he denied killing her.

In a case that has captivated Thailand further details have now been revealed but police have not ruled out the possibility of arrest warrants.

Lanlabelle had 400 mg of alcohol in her system – a level that can cause death and which is eight times higher than the drink driving limit in Thailand.

Pol Maj-Gen Somrit Tongtao of the Region 8 metropolitan police told the media that the autopsy showed no fluid from another person in the body of the deceased, no sign of assault and no drugs.

Further tests were ongoing, however, to see if a date rape substance might have been administered.

Five people are helping police with their inquiries and the exact circumstances at the drinks party in Bang Bua Thong – on the other side of the city from where she was found dead – are still under investigation.

Pressed about the possibility of charges in connection with causing death by negligence, molestation and abduction the Maj-Gen was noncommittal intimating that all would be revealed in the next 24 hours or so.

Examination of a Samsung smart watch worn by the victim is ongoing.

If arrest warrants are issued they are expected by tomorrow, he said.
