Rayong: Police bigwig stops to help stricken German pensioner

Locals in downtown Rayong were impressed when a police dignitary in a ceremonial white suit stopped to give first aid to a German pensioner who had been knocked off his bicycle.

Pol Maj Thanathip Jitrakhanee of the Rayong tourist police just happened to be passing after attending an alms giving ceremony. A 76 year old German man was taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a motorcycle ridden by a thirty three year old ice factory worker from Myanmar. The German suffered an injury to his leg. The motorcycle rider was slightly injured. The accident happened around 9 am near a local fruit market in the eastern seaboard city. Muang Rayong police are investigating.
