Reduced hours for school children start on Monday

On Monday when the new semester starts in school across the country the Ministry of Education will impose new shorter hours.
The ministry has been assigned by the Prime Minister to search for ways to make lessons more concise, to find ways to ensure that children can study with ease and enable them to easily apply what they lean into real life. The ministry responded to the request by cutting the school day finishing time from 3-30 to 2-30 in order to allow children to benefit from useful after school activities. From Monday the new finishing time will be piloted in 4,100 schools nationwide.
Dapong Ratanasuwan the Education Minister General, said that the reform measures will require changes in the structure of education, curriculum and quality of personnel, he went on to say that it is crucial to foster a good relationship between the students and their teachers.
