About The Weather In Asia

The climate in Asia varied widely from country to country because of its sheer size.

Central Asia Weather

Much of Asia’s central continents, including large parts of China, India and Pakistan, is composed of a desert with low precipitation and drastic variations in temperature during day and night. Winters can be bitterly cold (November to March), summers (July and August) short and dry. Temperatures are high in the Gobi desert from -40 ° F (-40 ° C) during winter nights to 100 ° F ( 38 ° C) during the season.

South-Eastern Asia Weather

South-eastern Asia has a tropical climate and year-round temperatures remain relatively constant with a average of 86 ° F (30 ° C). Summer is hot and humid on the Equatorial Islands, like Malaysia , Indonesia , Singapore and the Philippines. Between November and February, the best time to visit South-East Asia is fairly cool and dry in many places.

The weather varies marginally in Thailand, in Laos, in Cambodia, in Vietnam and in Burma (called Indochina), with a cold , dry season of November to February followed by a warm summer of April to July with temperatures of up to 104 ° F (40 ° C). However, sunny mornings with quick descents in the afternoon are usually included even during the rainy season in Thailand and other countries.

Monsoons in Asia

Several monsoon seasons occur in Asia. The South Asian Monsoons are held in India and Central Asia from June to September and in Southern China in Taiwan and Indo-China in May, Japan in June, and in North China and Korea in July. Tropical cyclones are most prevalent in the Philippines from July to October during the whole year.
