Roads in Hua Hin turned into rivers

The Phetkasem Road in Hua Hin is now a river thanks to heavy downpours and floods. Many local residents have had to be evacuated and many motorists were left stranded in the floods during torrential rain last night.
Rescue crews worked throughout the night to help those worse affected after more than 70cm of water fell in just a few hours. The rain shows no sign of abating and heavy rainfall continues to fall on the city. More rain is forecast over the next few days. It has been reported that the city is also experiencing power cuts.
The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain today in other areas of the country such as Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumpon, Ranong, Phang-nga and Phuket
