Russian couple’s lucky escape after rock falls through car windscreen in Hua Hin

A Russian couple had a lucky escape when a large stone fell from a truck they were travelling behind and smashed through the windscreen of their car.
The incident happened on Friday morning in the Khao Tao area of Hua Hin as the couple were travelling from the town centre in the direction of Pranburi.
Daily News reports the couple were travelling behind a 10 wheeled truck loaded with stones when one of the stones came loose and fell from the vehicle and onto the windscreen of their black Honda car and hitting the 65 year male driver.
It is reported the stones had not been adequately secured or covered in the truck, which did not stop with the driver of seemingly unaware the incident took place.
The Russian man received treatment on the side of the road for head injuries and was later taken to hospital for further treatment.
