Samart Payakaroon – the new Gym and fitness solution in Bang Por

A new gym in Bang Por has opened its doors to island residents and visitors to our shores. The Samart Payakaroon gym offers fitness and Muaythai training with in a modern and up to date environment with a stunning sea view!
Samart Payakroon is well renowned in Muay Thai circles as well as the entertainment, acting and music scene. Thanks to his sharp eye, fitness and expertise he won four Muay Thai championships at the lumpini Stadium, a belt of work boxing championships from the World Boxing Council (WBC) and two other championships of honour. He has also been a successful and famous singer, fashion model and commercial presenter. This outstanding man has now brought his considerable talents to the island of Koh Samui where he wishes to share his passion and enthusiasm with those wishing to take their first steps into Muay Thai, those wishing to continue their Muay Thai journey and accomplished fighters who wish to polish and hone their skills. This new gym is also designed to help anybody from age 7years up increase their fitness in stunning surroundings with experienced, passionate and understanding trainers.
Kru Kob Poptheeratham (boxer name Audnoi Sitjormpop) is another shining star at the Samart Payakroon gym. Having over 100 fights under his belt and having been a professional Muay Thai trainer for 11 years, the only trainer of Lumpini’s Champions this boxer also brings skill and enthusiasm to the Samui ring. Kru Kob Poptheeratham travels to Brazil every year to train a current UFC Middleweight Champion, Anderson Silva, and to teach the major Muay Thai gym of the country “Academia Team Nogueira”.
So what is on offer at this exciting new fitness opportunity in Bang Por?
Well flexible training times make this gym very appealing, choose from 8am till 10am, 3pm till 5pm or 5pm till 7pm. No matter what your level of fitness and training you are welcome to join the class that suits you, the Samart Payakaroon instructors are very experienced in working each member of the class to their own level of fitness and experience. Pleasingly the cost for the two hours class is only 500 baht and that price includes equipment, lockers WC’s and showers. For those who are serious about training or have come to the island for a Muay Thai vacation there are shared and air conditioned rooms available from 1,600 baht per day. Private training sessions can be arranged in between the group training hours.
Part of the Natura Wing resort and Spa this gym also offers all of the facilities of this renowned leading wellness centres in Koh Samui that was featured in the CNN World report as “the most popular spa on Samui Island”. Here you can enjoy massages, body scrubs and wraps, reflexology foot massage as well as sports massages. Accommodation is also offered in the Natural Wing.
Dining opportunities are also abundant here with a fabulous Thai restaurant on the beach and the Natural Wing restaurant that offers Thai, international and heath food dishes.
