Since its launch in July 2013 the Samui Times has enjoyed the support of the local community and readers around the globe and has steadily increased in popularity. Currently our website receives, on average 30,000 visits a month, with treble that in terms of page views.
Last month, in order to accommodate an increasing amount of stories and reader sections we changed our online format, and now have a fresh new look, that we hope you all enjoy.
The Samui Times aim is to keep you up to date with what is going on in the community in Koh Samui, bring you news and information about local events, keep you up date on the National News and provide stories of interest from around the county and overseas.
We have recently added two new sub sections of the Samui info – Diving info, a section to bring interesting news about Scuba Diving from the local area and around the world for our diving community and For Brits, a section to bring information to our British community from the UK and the Foreign Office.
Our opinion section gives our readers their chance to have their say, whether that is to gripe about the road conditions, congratulate a business on a successful launch, tell us about their experiences in Thailand or talk about international current affairs. Your feedback is important to us and being able to promote your events to the community is equally important.
Advertising in the Samui Times gives you a unique opportunity to reach potential customers who live on the island as well as around 30% of our readers from overseas, many of whom spend a considerable amount of time in Koh Samui, are frequent visitors or those who are planning a trip to the island.
Advertising in an online publication, rather than a printed edition, frees you of the space restrictions, in terms of photographs and text, of printed advertising. Like printed publications, your advertisement can contain your logo and valuable recognizable branding. Unlike the printed editions when somebody clicks on your advert they will be directed to a full editorial about your business than can contain as much information as you like. Here you can give your potential customers a real insight into your business and the services you offer that can be illustrated with photographs and video clips. From there your customers can link to your own website. Our advertising rates include your artwork and frequent editorials and advertorials about your business to keep your services fresh in our reader’s minds. Of course you can also link your own website directly from your online Samui Times editorial.
Being online also gives you the opportunity update your information when you need to and not when the next printed edition of the paper comes out. With the Samui Times your adverting budget does not simply put your brand name out there, but offers you the opportunity to spark potential customer’s interest both in our online publication and on our Facebook page that currently has over 5,000 likes our posts on Facebook reach between 4,000 and 25,000 customers.
The Samui Times readers come from every corner of the globe and through us you can reach them. The Samui Times is updated several times daily, keeping our content fresh, current and up to date as well as providing a useful database for anybody interested in Koh Samui and what our island has to offer.
The Samui Times is also working on two very exciting initiatives for 2014: The Samui Times business directory and the Samui Times road safety awareness campaign.
If you would like to explore the opportunity of advertising with the Samui Times, then please contact our sales team at firstname.lastname@example.org we have many different advertising positions available in order to accommodate every advertising budget.
We would also very much appreciate your feedback on our publication and hope that you will take the time to let us know what you would like to see in our publication and how we can improve to meet your requirements. You can tell us what you think by emailing email@example.com
If you have an event you would like to advertise or a news story from your area of the island please feel free to let us know. This is your local community publication and we welcome your involvement.
