Samui’s snake rescuer Phil becomes a hero again this time rescuing an otter

The Wildlife Friends Foundation of Thailand got a phone call from a long term supporter on Samui, Phil after a small clawed otter who has been attacked by a dog was found on the island of Koh Samui. The little otter had sustained severe injuries to her neck. Phil immediately took the sick otter to a vet on the island and then arranged with the WFFT mobile wildlife rescue team to have her picked up for further care and treatment at the WFFT wildlife hospital.
The otter is now making good progress and recovering at the WFFT centre in Petchburi. It is believed that the otter was a pet who escaped, she is very tame and loves people according to a post on the WFFT Faebook page.
