Scotsman among five arrested in drugs sweep

One Scotsman and four Thais have been arrested in the latest anti-drugs sweep through Patong, that netted 70 meth pills,crystal meth and marijuana.
Col Sutthichai named the five as: Manop Sanklap, 33, caught with 50 pills of ya ba (methamphetamine); Weerapol Choochart, 23, caught with 20 ya ba pills; Urai Phumi, 38, caught with 900mg of ya ice (crystal meth); Wijittra Sala-gnam, 26, caught with 400mg of ya ice; and Christopher Blackwood, 32, caught with 1.2 grammes of pressed marijuana.
All five were taken to Kathu Police Station, where Manop and Weerapol were charged with illegal possession of Category 1 with intent to sell. Urai and Wijittra were charged with illegal possession of Category 1 drug and Blackwood was charged with illegal possession of Category 5 drug.
