The second Samui Green Market

There may have been a lot of rain but the Green Market still managed to attract quite a few stall holders and quite a few visitors on Saturday. All of the goods on the market have been locally grown, locally made or locally sourced and by using the market you can enjoy goods that are chemical free, organic, homemade and kind to animals and the planet and good for our community.
The first Green Market was held in Bophut on the UN Day of Peace on September the 21st, a day that has been celebrated in Samui by Samui Mala since 2007.
On Saturday 26th the market was held at Chaweng Lake and thanks to the big sala the rain did not stop play. This venue has lots of parking and everybody is grateful to the Mayor, Khun Ramnet for allowing the public sala to be used.
The market is not just a great place to by green goods, but a great way to meet likeminded people and find out what is available on the island to help us all lead healthier and greener lives. Despite the rain the market was lively and fun and enjoyed by buyers and sellers alike.
