Security stepped up at Indonesian embassy in Bangkok

Security at the Indonesian embassy in Bangkok has been stepped up with police being deployed around the clock.
Acting metropolitan police commissioner Pol Lt-Gen Sanit Mahathavorn said that the escalated security was meant to ensure safety for the embassy and its staff following suicide bomb attacks in Jakarta.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha today sent a letter of condolence to Indonesian president expressing sorrow for the terrorist attacks which left at least seven people dead. He condemned the terror acts and promised Thailand’s support for Indonesia in any possible way.
