Singapore Porsche Owners Club enjoy Samui’s The Cliff Bar and Grill

On Sunday the 17th of August one of Samui’s most prestigious restaurants, The Cliff Bar and Grill played host some incredible Porsches and their owners at their Porsche owners club event. At around 11am 32 Porches arrived at the venue after being driven in convoys from Singapore by Porsche Club Singapore. The event, which is Porsche Club Singapore Drive Of The Year – Koh Samui Adventure, was run in conjunction with Tourism Authority of Thailand’s “Amazing Thailand”.
It took the convoy of Porsches that included Boxters, Caymans, different variants of 911s like Carreras, GT3s, Turbos and not forgetting the Cayennes two days to reach Koh Samui and The Cliff including stopovers. The nationalities of the drivers was as diverse as the models of the car and included Singaporeans, Malaysians, Australians and Germans, all of whom live and work in Singapore.
The drivers and their cars spent three hours at The Cliff where they enjoyed a range of mockails, cigars and a five star buffet of Portuguese Espatada, Garlic Tiger Prawns, Piri Piri Chicken Wings as well as many more delicious dishes. This was the Porsche Club Singapore members first time at The Cliff and it was chosen after a couple of the members had dined at the establishment a few months earlier during their recce trip. They enjoyed it enough to confirm it as one of the highlight stops for all its member on their Koh Samui Adventure Drive.
All of the 80 guests thoroughly enjoyed the private and exclusive event for Porsche Club Singapore members and many of the owners allowed members of the public to take a look at their cars and to take photographs.
The event at the Cliff was a resounding success and a first for Koh Samui and the Porsche Club Singapore who will no doubt look forward to visiting again.
