Our sincere thanks to Susan Field and David Birchall and their Company – Impact Samui and their professional teams for the donation of the complete reconstruction and new interior to this very important facility.

Sisters on Samui has now delivered all 7 Children’s and Maternity wards plus the Sterile Linen Room and this new Treatment/ Birthing Ward and thus the completion of all works as described to both the Hospital and all of our supporters.

Through this campaign of construction, refurbishment and fundraising, the Sisters on Samui and supporters have directly contributed 2,253,000 THB in goods and services to the Nathon Hospital Children’s and Maternity Wards.

Unfortunately there is much more to do to bring this Hospital Wing up to our expectations of how we believe it should look and from October 1 we intend to regather and following further fundraising (plans are already being implemented) we will commence Stage 2 as soon as possible and this will comprise ALL remaining facilities.

This will include provision of both Children’s and Maternity Pyjamas, Refurbishment of the Nurses station with sterile bench tops and storage, Community Courtyard new Roof and fitout as a soft children’s play area, complete rebuild of both sets of toilets and shower facilities, extension/ expansion of very cramped family dining areas plus a new covered outdoor deck and walkway for patients to air their personal laundry and for the Nurses to properly disinfect the bedding.

Further support is URGENTLY needed to help complete a list of further and already planned projects to complete this upgrade before Christmas 2018 – a further THB 2,500,000 is required!

Please note that 100% of all funds or goods and money donated go directly to the Project – all input by Sisters on Samui is voluntary!
