SRT chief: Cleaner railway toilets soon

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) plans to clean up dirty toilets on trains and at railway stations over the next six months.
SRT governor Wuthichart Kalyanamitra said on Tuesday that major revamps will help increase people’s confidence in the country’s railway.
Mr Wuthichart said the SRT has received many complaints from passengers about dirty toilets. He assured them that the railway toilets will be much cleaner and hygiene standards will be increased substantially over the next six months.
In addition, the governor said the SRT would provide public toilet services free of charge across the country. His comment came following Transport Minister ACM Prajin Juntong’s instructions.
