Swiss man found dead at Hua Hin hill

A 57 year old Swiss national has been found dead after apparently slipping while out walking.
The decomposing body of Philipp Leonhard Halter was found in the area of the temple of Wat Khao Sanam Chai on Petchkasem Road in Nong Kae sub-district.

He had been dead for 4 – 5 days and monks at the temple had noticed his motorcycle left near there for several days and then noticed a bad smell emanating from the hilly area.
Several days ago the victim’s girlfriend Wilawan Warachina, 42, had reported him missing from their home in Hua Hin Soi 102.
She was concerned as he was suffering from depression.
But a search failed to turn up any leads.
Police think that Mr Halter slipped while out walking.
An autopsy is being undertaken at the police hospital.
