TAT all smiles for 2018 Hua Hin tourism – but most of the tourists are Thai

The Tourism Authority of Thailand in Prajuab Khiri Khan were all smiles this week when they announced that 6.2 million tourists had visited the province that includes Hua Hin.
But behind the smile of TAT provincial chief Soraya Hormcheun were the details – 4.8 million were Thais and just 1.4 million were foreigners.
Still, that meant about 600,000 visitors a month and an improvement on last year.
Talknewsonline omitted to say or quote the official as to how much of an improvement this represented.
The figures related to January to October this year.
A beaming Soraya told reporters that a whole host of end of year activities in the province were in the pipeline and would be announced via social media.
Wonderful events such as New Year prayers would be province-wide and not limited to just Hua Hin and Pranburi.
