Thai police arrest eighty year old Brit on sexual assault charges

Officers from the Department of Special Investigation and Thai immigration arrested an 80 year old British man yesterday on charges of sexual assault against minors.

Norman Lunt, 80, was apprehended at house 128/43 Moo 10 Nong Prue, Bang Lamung.
His arrest follows representations to the Thai authorities from the UK’s National Crime Agency.
He is alleged to have committed rape of the daughter of someone close to him on five occasions over a five year period.
This involves two separate cases.
There are also eleven other counts of alleged sexual misconduct against minors.
Authorities in the UK contacted their Thai counterparts after they discovered that the suspect was in Pattaya.
He is now in custody.
