Thai police could show “Spiderman” a thing or two as “gold robber” taken down

Thai police caused quite a stir at a Chainat branch of Tesco Lotus yesterday as they took down a gold shop robber with a net.
No shots were fired and the robber was safely in custody due to the skills of the cops.
He had earlier robbed the shop, taken a hostage with a “sparta” knife and demanded to be provided with a getaway motorcycle.
Police reasoned that he must give up the hostage first and when he did they pounced with net and poles pinning the hapless robber to the hot daytime concrete outside the store.
Fortunately it was all a drill by Chainat station chief Pol Col Chatphimuk Meemuk to test the readiness of his men.
Sanook said that it was better than cartoon hero Spiderman renowned for keeping his city safe with magical powers.
