Thai police swoop! US actor arrested on arrival in Phuket over pyramid scheme

The Department of Special Investigation and immigration cops arrested a US national who arrived in Phuket yesterday on a tourist visa.
He is 32 year old Derrick Keller who has been working in China as an independent actor.
Police say he played a key role in a multi million baht investment fraud by pretending to be an executive of a company to dupe potential investors and gain their confidence.
The case involves 250 victims defrauded of 235 million baht.
In total 32 warrants have been issued for 23 Thais and 9 foreigners.
Thirteen arrests have so far been made, 12 Thais and one foreigner.
Sanook intimated that the ringleader was a Singaporean.
