Thai “pretty” who went topless online did it to get cash for mum and dad

A Thai pretty at the center of a row about going topless on Facebook has defended her actions.
Maeya, 23, said she needs money for her mum and dad and brothers and sisters.
Celebrities do it all the time she said. If they can do it, why not me.
Maeya and her close friend Nam had been paid by a company to reveal their assets for a football website.
But high profile human rights lawyer Songkan Achariyasap took up the case and launched a complaint with Bang Khen police in Bangkok.
Yesterday Maeya went on a popular TV show on Channel 3 to defend her actions.
Wearing a face mask she said she used to do work as a pretty at motor racing. She is not married and doesn’t even have a boyfriend, she told the presenter.
The promotion company promised more money if her and her friend took off their tops so they did.
She said she was only getting income for her parents and siblings and other celebs did it all the time without facing arrest.
She really didn’t see what all the fuss was about and had no idea there might be penalties for showing her breasts.
