Thai woman accused of running Nigerian Scam Ring

A Thai woman has been arrested and stands accused of running a Nigerian scam ring in Thailand that has robbed unsuspecting victims of millions of baht.
Kessanee Mahayothee ,34, was arrested in the Songkhla province close to the Malaysian boarder as she attempted to leave the country with more than 1.8 million baht about her person according to police reports. Pol. Col. Amornsak Kasemsiri, the detective in charge of the case told reporters that the woman had at least 47 bank accounts in her name. He told reporters that the woman had confessed to working with a group of Nigerian men based in Malaysia who posed as Westerners and approached single Thai women on dating websites where they conned them out of large sums of money.
