Thailand Learning Centre, TLC, has been open for nearly four months and has grown steadily over this period. An English run Nursery and Kindergarten, TLC caters for children between one and six years old, offering a safe and happy place to learn and grow. Set in the Bangrak hillside on the picturesque Phatong Residence, our small school prides itself on the one to one attention that developing children need.
Each month we aim to increase the fun factor and learning enjoyment for our students by introducing new toys, new games and new adventures. We offer swimming classes for the children in our large pool, only meters away from our school door and take the children along the many paths through our tropical gardens into the hills around the school. We have recently started a monthly school outing where every child is taken to see some of the many interesting and educational parts of Koh Samui. Our last trip to see the Elephants at the waterfalls and down to the beach for a swim and a picnic was a great success and loved by both teachers and students.
Future plans include the introduction of chickens, allowing the children to collect eggs and feed them and maybe a rabbit and a pot bellied pig or two to develop a small petting zoo. Introducing animals and their care allows the children to interact with them and learn how to care for them.
TLC prides itself in offering parents a year round safe environment for their children. Unlike many schools and nurseries on the island, TLC is open all year round, only closing for public holidays when required by Thai tradition. We still have a few places available for children, either on a monthly, weekly or daily basis. So if your child is bored at home, you need to work, or just want a great place for your child to learn and grow, please contact Deb at TLC and arrange a visit at your convenience. We cater for short or long term needs with no long term contracts and will cover your holiday needs.
