Textiles, cloths and handcrafted items are popular for shoppers visiting Thailand. Cozy markets across the nation, is a staple in Thai culture and tourism offering.


List of popular Bangkok shopping destinations


Icon Siam – This stylish shopping was opened in November 2018. Nestled on the banks of the Chao Phraya River and is one of the largest shopping malls in Asia. The building also serves as hotel and residences.


China Town – Whilst super malls are being built most places in Bangkok, Chinatown serves as more authentic experience. You can get lost in the alleyways special items as their forefathers before them.


Emquartier – Located centrally on Sukhumvit Road, it is big, new, clean and contains a variety of shops. Equipped with an IMAX cinema, fitness, rooftop bar and an abundance cafes and shops.


Asiatique – The Riverfront has effectively combined two of the city’s most popular shopping experiences. A night bazaar and a supermarket. Only 10 minutes down the river from Saphan Taksin BTS Skytrain Station, this large complex has more than 1,500 boutiques and 40 restaurants.


Floating Markets – Bangkok’s floating markets are among the city’s biggest attractions. Almost every traveler has a connection to at least one of them on their first journey. The colors, the noise, the flavors and the environment make it a unique experience.
