Thailand to waive tourist visa requirements for nationals of China and Taiwan

In a bid to boost tourism, the NCPO have created a visa free initiative for nationals of Taiwan and China who wish to visit Thailand. The new scheme will be given a three month trial from the beginning of August until the end of October.
At the end of the three month period the NCPO have said they will review the success of the scheme and thus determine whether or not an extension to the three month period will be make.
Thailand is looking to make up for the loss of tourism during recent turbulent times and hope this initiative will boost tourist arrival numbers.
