Thais encouraged to donate blood for holiday injuries

The National Blood Center of the Thai Red Cross Society encouraged Thais to help save lives by donating blood on the occasion of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s birthday on December 5th.
According to the National Blood Center, blood donations can be done throughout the month of December at the National Blood Center and public hospitals across the country.
More blood supplies are needed as the number of life-threatening injuries increase significantly during the New Year holiday.
To help raise this awareness, a radio show, ‘Green Wave,’ invited its fans to donate their blood for a good cause and as a tribute to the late King.
Regionally, people are able to make blood donations at the provincial office of the National Blood Center and local hospitals. For more information please call 02-256-4300 or 02-263-9600-99 and dial the extension number 1101.
