Thais “lovin’ it” as Ronald McDonald moves into Phi Phi Island

McDonalds has arrived in one of Thailand’s most iconic tourist spots – Phi Phi Island.
The burger giant’s Facebook page said that their new store would be open from 8am to 10pm serving breakfast and their delicious menu throughout the day.
Thais who went online to comment were all positive about the new store.
Prapasiri Klongboom even suggested: “Why not open 24 hours? When we leave the pubs we can get a Mac”.
Ratchada Tilarak asked when McDonald’s were going to open in Koh Lanta while others suggested different places for stores.
Many left comments to others to meet at the Phi Phi store for a bite to eat.
But the one foreigner commenting was less enthusiastic.
Frank Rebholz moaned: “What the heck. You rubbish this island (for a) long time. Now you gonna kill yourself”.
