The King of Thailand has died

Thailand’s revered King Bhumibol Adulyadej has died at age 88, he had reigned for 70 years, he was the world’s longest reigning monarch.
The death of the King has promoted what is certain to be deep mourning among the people of Thailand, many of whom gathered outside the hospital over the last two days to pray and sing.
King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s has been ailing for more than two years, he has been seriously ill the last week. The palace announced on Sunday that he had been put on a ventilator, he was suffering from kidney problems and his condition was not stable. He had not been seen in public for about a year.
The world now watches on to see how Thailand’s ruling military junta will react during this pivotal moment for the country.
