The Shakespeare Pub

Introducing a bar full of English knockers and brass!
The Shakespeare Pub on the Ghost Road is owned by the popular ex-pat island resident Joe and his wife Ratty. The Shakespeare is a pub with a distinctly English feel about it, quite unlike any other pub on the island. Joe and Ratty, who previously owned the Cork and Cask in Chaweng, have created an authentic English country pub with features such as a grandfather clock, English front and back doors with imported English knockers, a rocking horse, horse brasses, hanging baskets and two huge and comfortable reclining sofa chairs that can be found in front of the fire place where a fire glows, crackles and adds to what is already a superb atmosphere.
The Shakespeare Pub opens from noon each day and closes when there is nobody left standing. The drinks prices are extremely reasonable and if you are a fan of English roast dinners then you can indulge from 2pm onwards every Sunday. The pub also serves authentic Donna Kebabs as well as authentic Indian curries.
Outdoors is a childrens’ play area and conveniently there is ample off road parking.
If you fancy a slice of one of the things that makes England great then the Shakespeare is well worth a visit and under the friendly and expert management of Joe and Ratty it is, without a doubt, one of the most popular venues on the island.
