Thousands flock to ex-Patong Mayor’s funeral

Local dignitaries including Phuket Vice Governor Somkiet Sangkaosutthirak, Kathu District Chief Sayan Chaichanawong and recently appointed Patong Mayor Chalermluck Kebsup were among the VIPs who have gone to pay their respects at the Keesin family home, where Pian’s body is lying in repose until the cremation ceremony on October 18 at Laem Petch Temple in Patong.
Pian Keesin was born in Phuket and married to Mrs Srikum Keesin. He leaves five children: Ms Premrada Keesin; Mr Patawee Keesin; Mr Preechawuth Keesin; Mr Pakrit Keesin; and Mr Pamut Keesin.

developed into Patong Bay Garden Resort. He was also instrumental in preventing tin mines being built along the Andaman coast.
Pian also participated in the protests against the operation of Chalermpon Co Tour Bus at Phuket International Airport as well as at tourist destinations such as Patong
