Three arrested for selling guns on Facebook

In Phatum Thani three people have been arrested for allegedly selling guns on Facebook. The arrests came about on Tuesday when police raided three properties in the Thanyaburi and Khlong Luang areas of the province. Two men illegal guns Thailandand one woman were arrested during raids where an M3 submachine gun, three pistols, a.22 caliber homemade pen gun, a bullet proof vest, four walkie talkies and over 400 rounds of ammunition were seized. The police made the arrests after a tip off.

Mr Witthaya Pakia, 36 told the police when he was arrested that he had a love of guns and allegedly confessed to his involvement, his wife Mrs Papat Phakia, 35 however denied being involved in the crime, the third suspect 32 year old Kochasit Surasit also allegedly confessed to the crime. All three have been charged with illegally possessing firearms and ammunition.
