Toll fees to be dropped on two expressways over New Year

Surong Bulakul, chairman of Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT)’s board, announced Thursday (November 21) that the board has agreed to waive the toll fee for the Burapha Withi Expressway and Kanchanaphisek Expressway (Bang Phli-Suksawas) for 8 days starting at 12.01am on December 27, 2019 and ending at midnight on January 3, 2020 as a New Year gift to expressway users.

“Furthermore, EXAT will reduce fees at automatic kiosks (Easy Pass) by Bt5 at 4 checkpoints on Chaloem Maha Nakhon Expressway namely Din Daeng, Bangna, Dao Khanong and Bang Chak, and 2 checkpoints on the Sirat Expressway namely Pracha Chuen and Asoke from January 6 to March 6 between 4 and 7 am,” he said.
Surong also unveiled that the EXAT board had agreed to pay a bonus to its employees of five times of their salaries at year-end.
