Tourism in Pattaya, Phuket and Koh Samui picks up after curfew lifted

Pol Maj-General Apichai Tiamataya, Commander of the Tourist Police Division expects tourism in the three prominent tourist cities; Pattaya, Phuket and Koh Samui will pick up after the curfew was lifted in those favored areas.
The Tourist Police Commander is preparing to host a meeting with related agencies to promote the tourism sector, car rental companies and the lifting of the general curfew. A relaxing atmosphere should bring tourists back as normal. However, deployments to maintain security in tourist areas and for the public according to the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) are still been carried out. Moreover, there are volunteers to support the deployment.
In addition, the Tourist Police Commander has urged over 800 tourist police officers in 37 stations to work at full capacity to ensure safety for both Thai and foreign tourists.
