Tragedy on flight from the UK to Thailand when wife discovers her husband is dead

Marlene and Graeme Scott were en-route to Thailand when tragedy struck. As they came in to land in Dubai where they were due to change planes to Thailand Marline thought her husband Graeme was sleeping. She got up from her business class seat and went to freshen up before landing. When she came back to her seat and tired to rouse her husband and after prodding and poking him she found him unresponsive and discovered to her horror that he had died during the flight. She said that his face was ice cold and on landing medical crews rushed to his aid but it was too late to save him. After filing a police report she was taken to a room at the Millennium Hotel in Dubai airport before enduring a wait from 10am on Tuesday December the 23rd until 4am the next day before being allowed to go home having to leave her husband’s body in Dubai, his cause of death is yet undetermined.
The couple were taking their 20th visit to Bangkok, after travels though Europe, Africa and Asia the capital here remained their favorite spot. The couple run the Limes Guest House in Montrose, father of three Graeme, 62 was described by his wife as the hardest working most caring man she knew. Their daughter Jennifer, 34, who has a twin, Karen, added: “Dad is dearly missed and was a beautiful father.”
The Limes Guest house is a Georgian style house built in 1872 and has been a guest house since 1976. The couple took the business over in 2006 after having owned and run Fairfield Guest House also in Montrose for the previous fifteen years.
