Transport Ministry launches Safe Songkran Festival 2018

The Deputy Director-General of the Department of Highways, Apisit Promasen, said the Ministry of Transport has launched the Safe Songkran Festival 2018 under the “7-7-7” road safety campaign.
The term “7-7-7” simply refers to seven days before, during and after the holiday period, which is between April 4th and 24th, 2018.
Mr. Apisit said his department aims to reduce the road accident rate and the number of road casualties by seven percent this year.
He has advised people to take enough rest and take care of their health before traveling during the long holiday.
