On Monday 23rd of June the Tropical Murphy’s Monday Night Pool league end of season presentation was hosted by Stacked at Ozo in Chaweng. This event marked the end of the 22nd season of the Monday night league.
Stacked put on a superb live band to entertain the pool players and a fantastic buffet with Mexican rice, chili, nachos, breaded squid, southern chicken wings, mini burgers that all went down with lashings of blue cheese sauce, sour cream, bacon bits and shredded cheese. League organizer Ian Bexendale said that it was the best food and service the players and organizers had ever seen at a presentation night.
Drinks vouchers for spirits, wines and beers helped to get the party started and during the presentation Ian and co-organiser Carl thanks sponsors Tropical Murphys, Jack Daniels and Edge Global Events.
The cup for the winners of division three went to Nuts Bar (Soi Reggae), T-bone, Duffan, Carl and Timmy jumped up to collect their cup and the 1,500 baht prize money. The cup for the winners of division two went to Thairish Bar (Soi Reggae) bar owner and team captain Shadow collected the cup along with 1,500 baht prize money and looked as proud as punch. The division one cup was then presented to On’s Livewire (Soi Reggae) the team leapt on the opportunity to sing the On’s chant, Steve, Chris, Handsome Adam and Dave all in full voice and as happy as Larry as Ken presented the cup and the 1,500 baht prize money.
The best player cups were the awarded with a 1,000 baht prize for each player in each division. The best player in division three unsurprisingly went to T-bone of Nuts Bar, best player in division two went to Prian of Ostaria Bar (Soi Reggae) and the best player cup in division one went to Chris of On’s Bar.
The presentation was followed by a raffle of bottles of booze, crates of beers and some superb prizes donated by Stacked and Ozo that were mostly won by Steve from the International Bar (Green Mango Soi).
The pre season meeting for season 23 will be held on Monday 30th of June at 8pm at the Premier Sports Bar (Bangrak) there is still a space for one team so if you would like to be part of this fun league and encourage a lot of pool players to hang out at your establishment then please feel free to go along.Stay updated with Samui Times by following us on Facebook.
