Tropical storm warning

The Meteorological Department issued latest announcement Saturday warning of tropical storms in several parts of the country from today after approaching cold spell has blanketed the upper northeast region, and is moving further to cover other parts.
It forecast torrential rainstorms and expected hails to hit the North, Northeast, Central and East during March 21-26.
It said the approaching cold high pressure from China coincided with the covering of the North by the westerly wind from Myanmar.
This will result in torrential storms and hails in areas covered by the high pressure wind and temperature could drop by 6-8 degrees, it said.
