Whether it is your kids who want a treat or you fancy something sweet and tempting yourself, often having something naughty but nice comes with the guilt factor of knowing that most things that taste really good are not actually that good for you and sadly some ‘treats’ are even harmful. Well thanks to TROPICOOL POPS there is a healthy alternative here in Koh Samui. TROPICOOL POPS make handmade all natural popsicles in a variety of flavors. They are either entirely fruit based, or made with dairy and fruit. They contain no additives, flavourings or colourings and a minimal amount of unbleached cane sugar. For adults they also make a range of alcohol flavoured pops aimed at parties functions and wedding receptions. And there is a range of whey protein based pops for gyms and fitness orientated people. TROPICOOL POPS are unique to Samui and, as far as anybody can tell,Thailand as well. TROPICOOL POPS started the business just under a year ago, aiming thier product towards health minded people and as an alternative to the chemical concoctions labeled ice-cream found in local supermarkets, and business has been growing steadily. The company have a popsicle freezing machine imported from Brazil, and everything is made in house in a hygienic kitchen facility located just after New Star Hotel on the ring road in Chaweng Noi. Their products can also be found at Fisherman Village walking street on Friday nights.
