Two Cambodians return home after jail time in Thailand for arriving with too many cigarettes

On Tuesday two Cambodian migrant workers were repatriated to Cambodia after spending more than a month and a half in a Thai jail for bringing too many cartons of cigarettes into the kingdom.
Ngar Ros 39, and Phea Tan 22 were arrested in June when they were caught carrying three cartons of cigarettes over the boarder each when they arrived to try to find work in Thailand. The pair were sentenced to 48 days in prison by the Sa Kaeo provincial court for bringing in over the allowed limit for personal use. In Thai law it is only permitted to bring two cartons into the Kingdom.
