Two Chiang Mai Men Confess to Naked Photo Shoots, Police Say

Police say they have arrested two men for taking nude photos in front of various landmarks in Chiang Mai province and posting them on social media.
The two 20-year-old suspects, named Haripachara Bhupansamrit and Surapong Khaopong, reportedly confessed after being charged with public indecency, said Pol.Maj.Gen. Pacha Rattapan, deputy commander of Fifth Region Police. The charge carries a 500 baht fine.
“They committed the crime out of recklessness after drinking alcohol,” the officer said, adding that the two suspects also expressed their apology to people of Chiang Mai.
Pol.Maj.Gen. Pacha said police used a variety of methods to identify the two men, including forensic examination of the photos they took, witnesses’ testimonies, CCTV footage, and other data collected from social media.
