Two people were shot dead and another five injured in a pub brawl in the early hours of this morning (September 23rd) at Camp Beer in Chaweng Koh Samui. It is unclear how the brawl started, however it is known that police officers having a night out were involved. camp-beer-murders-koh-samuiSeven men were rushed to hospital. Lt Corp Jaerasak Sroisangvarn, a police officer and Kraisorn Mingsakul, a security guard, were later pronounced dead. Lt Corp Sitthisak Ngamkhom, Lt Corp Kritsana Boonyin, Voravit Yimyoung (security guard), Thepthinnakorn Thongphet (pub manager) and Veerapong Jarusenee are being treated in hospital. It is thought the police officers got involved with a brawl that broke out while dancing. It is thought Lt Corp Jaraesak pulled out a pistol on the dance floor, the pub manager tried to stop him then all hell broke loose. Lt Corp Narongsak Khamjai fired shots from his 9mm pistol into the crowd that had gathered in front of the pub, the bullets hit three of his fellow police men and four pub staff. After the shooting he drove off in his car. Six blood stained cartridges were found in the parking lot of Camp Beer. CCTV footage shows Lt Corp Narongsak opening fire into the crowd, he was later arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder and carrying a weapon in a public place.
