Two militants killed in Narathiwat Clash

Two militants have been killed in Narathiwat in a security force raid on a house at Ban Pongyueti in moo 9, Taloh Rueso. The joint police-military raid came about after authorities were tipped off that six armed militants of the Runda Kumpulan Kecil (RKK) were hiding out there. When the security forces arrived the men opened fire on them and both sides exchanged gunfire in a clash that lasted for around fifteen minutes after which time four of the militants fled, leaving behind two dead bodies.
The dead men were identified as brothers Muhamad Sapaeing Waekaji and Usman Waekaji, security forces found two M16 assault rifles with the bodies, that were later identified as being stolen from the Phra ong Dam military base on Jan 19th 2011
