Unofficial reports confirm the remains of Russian Alexey Slabinskiy have been found

In a report in the Phuket Gazette today Phuket Provincial Police Deputy Commander Arun Kaewvatee announced that that unofficial DNA and dental records have confirmed that the body found in Cherng Talay on March 29th is that of missing Russian Alexey Slabinskiy. He said “ We’ve heard unofficially from the Forensic Office in Surat Thani that the remains are those of Mr. Slabinskiy, and that the teeth found in the body match those of dental records for Mr. Slabinskiy held in Bangkok Phuket Hospital” he went on to say that the police have not yet determined the cause of death.
Oleksandre Boychuck, 44, and Aleksandre Novichkov, 58, the two main suspects in the murder of Mr.Slabinskiy are believed to still be in Thailand and it is expected that the duo will be apprehended soon. Col Arun said “We have friends and associates of the suspects under surveillance, but so far we do not have any information as to the men’s whereabouts.
Mr. Slabinskiy went missing with his girlfriend Iana Strizheus on March 7th, a frantic phone call to their relatives in Russian after their disappearance alerted authorities to believe the pair had been kidnapped. Ms. Stirzheus was discovered on March 16th alone in a hotel room, after being hospitalized for several days for treatment of inures she travelled back to Russia.
